Description
This vegan ranch dip recipe makes a great dip for veggies, crackers, potatoes or wherever you need a delicious and zingy dip. This is a recipe a friend of mine used all the time. Being a recent vegan convert she was very enthusiastic about making this vegan version of the classic ranch style dip.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup soymilk
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dill
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon tarragon
- 1 15oz can of navy beans
- A pinch of powdered hot pepper
- salt to taste
- black pepper
Steps
1) Combine the soymilk and lemon juice, allow to set for a couple of mins; the mixture will curdle. Add the soy and lemon mixture to the beans in a blender and blend until smooth, about 2 mins.
2) Put the mixture into a bowl and stir in the rest of the ingredients. Cover and chill for several hours in the refrigerator before serving.
Additional Tips
Vegan ranch dressing is a healthy and dairy free alternative to the regular variety of ranch dip. Use it as a dip or dressing. Lemon juice can be substituted for a quality vinegar such as apple cider vinegar.
